7 Harsh Truths Everyone Knows But No One Wants To Admit

Your mindset, your values, and general approaches to life are based on your beliefs. You observe the world through the lens of convictions that you’ve formed over the years.

The problem is that those beliefs often get distorted and you deliberately avoid the truth. And the reason for that is simple: the life is easier to enjoy if you don’t embrace the bitter reality.

People enjoy believing in what they want to believe because the harsh truth can make people feel embarrassed and miserable. It often requires the change of status quo and the need to challenge the social standards.

Unfortunately, most people prefer to avoid changes. They are better off staying within their comfort zone regardless of how bad it is.

Become bold enough to admit the harsh truth. Embrace the reality that makes you feel uncomfortable. Get rid of the prejudices that hold you back. Take the first step towards making the most of your life.

The 7 harsh truths everyone knows but no one wants to admit are:

Your life sucks because of fear.
Fear of being rejected and criticized. Fear of taking a bold step and leaving your comfort zone. You doubt yourself, thinking you do not have enough knowledge or skills to perform well. You give in to your fears and sabotage yourself before you even begin. Eventually, you settle down for mediocre results because of yourself and your fears.

Be bold enough to take an action. You are the only one who can make your life better and you are the only one who’s responsible for the realization of your dreams.

The contemporary higher education system is meaningless.
We all keep pursuing different degrees just because the society and its old customs require us to. However, the system has proved to fail to keep up the pace of the ever-faster modern world. Every day the education system becomes more and more outdated. Nowadays, the value of the higher education in most fields is overrated. However, we don’t want to admit that.

Studying is crucial. However, your knowledge is worthless, unless it is applied. Invest in developing the skills that are going to take you closer to the things you want to accomplish. Because your high-school diploma won’t.

Practice beats intelligence.
Repetition and consistency beat talent. You don’t need an inherent talent to excel in your field. You only need to show up every day and work hard to achieve mastery. Forget about ‘quantity vs quality’ dilemma. It’s not relevant when it comes to self-improvement. Quantity is not the enemy of quality. The outstanding results come with practice.

Success is not about the innate gifts. Stop whining about the absence of luck and talents. You can achieve whatever you want as long as you are ready to invest your time and effort.

There is no such thing as alone genius.
Great ideas require great teams. No one has ever achieved anything worth being proud of alone. There is always a team of dedicated professionals standing behind every massive win. Don’t try to conquer the world on your own. This struggle will eventually get you frustrated. Without a great team, you won’t get far from the place you are now.

All your role models are successful because they managed to get into challenging environment and gathered the team of smart and hardworking people. Neither Elon Musk nor Jeff Bezos achieved massive wins alone. There are hundreds of people behind their stories of success.

Your own ideas are worthless.
No one cares about your ideas and no one wants to steal them as you might believe. The only thing that people care about is implementation. No one cares how many ideas you have and how incredible they are. No one will ever praise you for having brilliant concepts. People only want to see the implementation of daring ideas and they are only ready to assess your success based on that.

Stop being focused on collecting the ideas. Stop perfecting them. Stop being proud of yourself because of the number of ideas you have. Implement them and show the world what you can create.

Your material wealth won’t make you a happier person.
Everyone knows this. Nevertheless, everyone obsessively aspires to become insanely rich to be able to afford to buy fancy things. However, neither fast cars nor big houses will ever make you a better or a happier person. Regardless of millions of dollars on your bank accounts, you can easily stay lonely, mentally cheap and intellectually poor.

Financial freedom is cool. However, it’s rarely the substitute for happiness. Don’t try to trick your mind. Money isn’t what you’re actually looking for.

We all really do care what others think of us.
Some are better at ignoring it than others but it is human nature in the end. Despite claiming that every decision we make is unbiased, we all do something to seem more attractive, successful, reliable and better to other people. We all secretly look for the society’s validation and do our best to be respectable, likable, and cool.

Do what you think is right and make sure you are less dependent on others’ opinion. Live for yourself. Because it’s your life.

how can i find a person?
how to improve your life?
how to become a better person?
truth for life?

Fact: There is one scientifi...
